Vauxhall Vans Driver Feedback

Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles recently carried out a survey of van hire customers regarding the vans they had driven and how they felt they performed, especially when compared to the cars these occasional van users normally drive. The results are very positive and really bring to light the way vans have developed over the past few years.

1,000 people who had recently hired a van, be it Vauxhall or otherwise, were surveyed, these people being occasional users, needing the larger load capacity for moving home or transporting large items. One of the biggest indicators of how well the van has developed is that a full 90% of respondents were happy with the comfort and specification of the van they had used. Many Vauxhall vans now come fitted as standard with electric windows and air conditioning, matching the standards of cars. Even a few years ago these were unheard of fitments in vans so it is obvious that these light commercial vehicles have really come a long way in a short space of time. (more…)

About anti lock brakes on Nissan vans

When you go shopping for your Nissan van, you find that most brands of vans come with an anti-lock braking system, or an option for use in the van. The reason for this is most van buyers consider it a necessity to have anti lock braking systems in the van they buy.

This is because these brakes give the driver control over the vehicle when coming to a sudden stop. These brakes work using calculated, rapid pumping actions that prevent any locking of wheels with a sudden stop. So beneficial is this technology to the vehicular market that it is rated the number one automobile innovation in recent years. (more…)

Basic maintenance tips for your Luton van

After paying so much for your Luton van, it is important that you work at maintaining it to the best of your ability. This is to prevent engine problems and safe driving for a longer time on the van. To ensure this, you will have to carry out a weekly or monthly maintenance of the van so that you save on expensive repair bills and get cheaper van insurance in the long run.
Tyre maintenance is carried out by checking its pressure. Incorrect pressure can be dangerous as it affects the van steering, making it dangerous to drive. So monitor and alter it according to the load of the van. Even check its thread periodically as tyre threads below 1.6mm of thread cost you fines and penalty points
Ensure there is sufficient lubrication
Basic maintenance of your Luton van also entails periodical checks of its oil. With sufficient oil, you are sure the engine parts are lubricated properly. Insufficient oil leads to excessive damage and consequently, huge repair bills. (more…)
